Tagum City Guide with Tagum Bloggers Tasted 11 New Dishes from Xie Xie Home Café, to be Served Starting November 2019
I was excited when we were invited by Xie Xie Home Café to taste their new dishes. Not only because I’ve heard a lot of good reviews from friends who have dined here before but because I somehow miss Asian cuisines, having worked abroad for almost four years. Cereal Butter Prawn costs about $10-$12 in Singapore. You get relatively the same portion at Xie Xie for a little over hundred pesos less. And they taste the same!
They also did not fall short of reinventing Flipino dishes. Porbidang Kangkong, for example, is a must-try. Their grilled humba is a classic favorite, and having it in a metal lunchbox just made it more delicious.
If you’re into East Asian cuisines, be glad to know that they also offer Ramen, Kimchi Fried Rice, and the one we tried: Kimchi Jjigae.
For desserts, Shibuya Honey Toasts are a gem, particularly their Crème Brulee and Matcha flavors. Shibuya toasts also got a makeover with the introduction of Shibuya Sizzlers. Yum! As for beverages, they’ve got a couple of healthy and refreshing new drinks.

Global Handwashing Day with Bioderm and Tagum Bloggers
Tagum Bloggers Inc’s very own Mai Antes on Youtube, Boy Pimple & Tagum City Guide joined Global Handwashing Day Caravan yesterday: 15 October 2019. The event was sponsored by the International Pharmaceutical Incorporated, makers of Bioderm Soap, and held at Apokon Elementary School, Tagum City.
The activity encourages proper hand washing to prevent the spread of diseases and to observe hygiene. It was a collaboration with DepEd-Tagum Division and the City Government of Tagum through the City Information Office.
